‘Everest base camp is world’s best destination’



KATHMANDU: Manisha Koirala, a popular actress, said that the Everest base camp was one of the most beautiful destinations of the globe.  “It has fulfilled my desire I had since my childhood”, she said, adding, “With the recent experience,  I am eager to trek to Annapurna and Manaslu regions next time.”

Actress Koirala had embarked on her trekking to the base camp of the world’s summit in collaboration with the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) so as to contribute to promote country’s tourism.

On the occasion, she also shared that she would prepare a documentary of the Everest Base Camp. It would believably spread the message of incredible beauty of the base camp to the globe and promote Nepal’s tourism.

She also pointed out the need for the state to lay special emphasis on improving livelihood of Sherpa community in the base camp area.
