APF sets up border outpost at Rupal in Dadeldhura

DADELDHURA: The Armed Police Force (APF) has set up a border outpost (BOP) at Rupal of Bhageshwor Rural Municipality in Dadeldhura district which borders India.

According to the APF’s Baidhyanath Brigade Chief DIG Harishankar Budhathoki, the BOP was set up as per the policy of the government to mobilize APF in the bordering place for border security, to protect the border pillars and to curb the cross-country crimes.

On the occasion, DIG Budhathoki directed the security personnel to be deployed in the newly set up BOP to fulfill their responsibility of defending the border.

The APF has already set up BOP in places like Sadani Bajar, Pari Gaun and Arsurani village in the district.

There was no police station or post in Rupal. Hence the cases of smuggling were rising lately in this place. With the establishment of BOP, the locals are confident that there will be control in such illegal activities.
