Health worker at TU Teaching Hospital dies of COVID-19



KATHMANDU: A 57-year-old health worker at Tribhuvan University (TU) Teaching Hospital based in Maharajgunj has died due to the coronavirus.

She died at 7:15 am on Tuesday in Kathmandu, Dr. Sabin Thapaliya informed.

The deceased was a ward attendant at the hospital. The health worker also had asthma and thyroid problems.

She was admitted to the ICU on September 19 after she was diagnosed with pneumonia.

Although she was later removed from the ventilator, her health did not improve, Thapaliya stated.

The dead body has been managed by a Nepal Army team.
