COVID-19 infected Nepali inmate escapes from isolation center in India



KANCHANPUR: Four prisoners, including a Nepali national, have escaped from COVID Center in Rudrapur, India.

A special team of Sitarganj Police has been deployed in the Nepal-India border area including Banbasa to search for the Nepali man hailing from Bajhang.

According to the Indian Police, three convicts from Sitarganj-based Central Jail and another from Kashipur’s Ananda Garden Temporary Jail fled from the bathroom of Rudrapur Medical College.

Devendra Dhanuk, a resident of Bajhang Chainpur-8, had been serving his sentence in Sitarganj Jail for eight years in connection with the smuggling case.
