Dr Koirala slams NC leadership for keeping silent on Deputy Speaker’s post

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Dr Shekhar Koirala has criticized NC leadership for bargaining for constitutional posts instead of demanding election for the post of Deputy Speaker.

It may be noted that the post of a Deputy Speaker is lying vacant after the then Deputy Speaker Shiva Maya Tumbahangphe resigned on January 19.

Dr Koirala took to Twitter to criticize the NC leadership for failing to pile pressure on the government to fulfil the post of Deputy Speaker rather than demanding posts in the constitutional bodies.

He wondered as why NC, the main opposition, not uttering a word on the appointment of Deputy Speaker.
