Talks with Biplav-faction are on: Home Minister



HETAUDA: Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa has said talks with Netra Bikram Chand-led faction have been on to bring the group to mainstream politics.

Stating that the government has maintained peace and security by controlling the elements against the constitution and the state, Minister Thapa said the government is committed to peace and security while inaugurating a state-level seminar on peace and security of State-3 in Hetauda today.

The government has initiated campaign to check and discourage illegal activities such as violence, corruption, crimes, smuggling and irregularities, he said.

Chief district officers of 13 districts, chiefs of Nepal Police, National Investigation Department, Armed Police Force and high ranking officials of Nepal Army are attending the two-day seminar has been attended in Hetauda.

The seminar aims to develop an integrated concept to deal with security problems and challenges by the state and local levels.
