State 2 CM Raut offers greetings on Jitiya festival



JANAKPURDHAM: Chief Minister of State 2, Lal Babu Raut, has extended wishes to women observing Jitiya festival.

In his message, CM Raut has said that the festival reflects love of mothers towards their children.

“May this festival help retain faith and love of people across the country,” he said.

The festival usually falls on the seventh, eighth and ninth day of the waning moon in the Nepali month of Ashwin.

This year, it begins on Wednesday and concludes on Friday.

Married women of the Tharu community and other women living in harmony with them, in general, women are invited to their parents’ home to observe the fasting for the longevity of their husbands and children during this festival.
