India reports 68,770 COVID-19 cases in a single day



KATHMANDU: As many as 68,000 people were infected with the coronavirus  in the last 24 hours in India.

Until the filing of this report, 68,770 were infected in a single single day taking the total number of coronavirus infection cases to 3,687,939 on Tuesday morning.

This is the highest number of infection cases in Asia and the third highest in the world after Brazil and America.

Of them, 2,837,377 people have recovered from the virus while 785,127 are undergoing treatment at various hospitals and isolation centers across the country.

Likewise, the death toll from the coronavirus has crossed 65,000. With 818 deaths in the last 24 hours, the number of deaths from coronavirus has reached 65,435, according to the Worldometer.
