Kathmandu Valley witnesses 298 COVID-19 cases



KATHMANDU: As many as 298 persons in the Kathmandu Valley have been diagnosed with the COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.

Speaking at the regular press briefing, Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, Spokesperson at the Ministry of Health and Population, stated that 190 persons in Kathmandu, 67 in Lalitpur, 41 in Bhaktapur have tested positive for the
pandemic virus.

Earlier, on Sunday, Kathmandu Valley had recorded 429 cases with 372 persons in Kathmandu, 12 in Lalitpur and 45 in Bhaktapur.

Nepal recorded 899 coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Population. Of the new cases, 303 are women and 596 men. With the new cases, Nepal’s caseload has reached 39,460.

A total of 11,129 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.
