A total of 177 children have been infected in Dang and 156 in Bardiya.

There are 84 infected children in Gulmi, 72 in Rupandehi, 58 in Kapilvastu, 52 in Banke and 25 each in Palpa and Arghakhanchi.

Among the infected children, 92 children are undergoing treatment, Pushparaj Poudel, Information Officer at the Ministry said.

“Children do not know how to avoid it. They can be protected only if parents are aware,” he said.
