Mother, son die of coronavirus in Dharan

DHARAN: Dharan has recorded two fresh coronavirus-related deaths on Sunday.

A 74-year-old woman and her 60-year-old son from Dharan Sub-metropolitan City-17 have succumbed to the pandemic at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS).

The mother died at 8:30 am and the son at 7:45 am, according to BPKIHS’ Director Dinesh Sapkota.

The woman was admitted to the hospital with complaints of cough, breathlessness and fever on Saturday and was diagnosed coronavirus positive today. She was also suffering from hypertension and diabetics.

The man was also admitted to the hospital with similar symptoms on Saturday.

A total of 18 COVID-19 patients have died at the hospital so far.
