260 Nepalis return home today



KATHMANDU: Two hundred and sixty Nepalis stranded abroad due to the global coronavirus pandemic returned home on Saturday.

Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) office said Silk Air of Singapore brought 148 passengers to Kathmandu yesterday. Similarly, Jazeera Airlines brought 112 people and a dead body from Kuwait.

Three inbound international chartered flights have been operated yesterday for repatriating the Nepalis stranded in various countries.

Nepal Airlines is bringing Nepalis from Kuwait tonight in course of rescuing additional people stranded in a foreign land. A flight would be operated to Kuala Lumpur for bringing more Nepalis from there.

The Himalayan Airlines is conducting a flight to Kunming of China and Kuala Lumpur tonight for bringing Nepali nationals from there, the TIA Office said.
