DPM Pokharel and Home Minister Thapa in home isolation

KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister Ishwor Pokharel, and Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa have taken to home isolation citing the possibility of getting transmitted to coronavirus pandemic.

Citing that one of the staffs of COVID-19 Crisis Management Center(CCMC)  was found coronavirus positive, both Ministers have gone to home isolation to avoid risk of coronavirus transmission.

“They visit the Chhauni-based CCMC office quite often. One of the staffers there tested coroanvirus positive,” the source said under anonymity, “As the report came today, the Ministers have taken to home isolation. Most probably, the PCR test will be at the earliest.”

With the minister duo in home isolation, the meeting of ruling Nepal Communist Party’s Secretariat has been postponed till September 3.

Earlier, the NCP Secretariat was scheduled for August 29.
