Province 2 sees eight COVID-19 deaths, 124 new cases

JANAKPURDHAM: Coronavirus pandemic has worst-hit Province 2 with 124 new cases and eight deaths from it on Thursday.

According to the Health Directorate of Province 2, the province saw eight deaths including a pregnant woman and made the coronavirus death tally in the province 72 till date.

Among the Thursday deaths, there are two in Parsa, five in Bara and one in Dhanusha.

The Directorate’s report shows that 11 women and 61 men have died of coronavirus in this province so far.

In the meantime, the number of coronavirus cases in the province has reached 4,983 including 124 new cases of Thursday.

Among the cases of today, there are 37 from Dhanusha, 32 from Saptari, 26 from Parsa, 10 from Bara, six from Mahottari, six from Rautahat and three from Sarlahi.

Similarly, 57 people were discharged after recovery from coronavirus today making the discharged tally 4,496 till date.
