Ending week-long seal off, Syangja Hospital resumes services

KATHMANDU: The District Hospital in Syangja which was sealed off since last Tuesday has resumed its services from today.

The hospital’s entire services were closed for a week after a jailbird of the district prison house, who was receiving treatment there, tested positive for the virus.

Hospital’s Medical Superintendent Sushil Marasini said that the services were resumed after the reports of all 71 persons tested based on contact tracing came negative.

The hospital was closed for a week and doctors and all the health workers there were sent for self-quarantine.

Marasini added that the hospital was sanitized before reopening for service delivery today.
