Govt declares 73 places prohibited zones

KATHMANDU: The government has declared as many as 73 places across the country as prohibited zone in view of the security,  a report in Gorkhapatra daily said.

Unveiling the cabinet decisions on Thursday, Minister for Communication and Information Technology Gokul Prasad Baskota said the cabinet declared 73 various locals as the sensitive zones.

As man as 73 locations of  hill districts Taplejung, Sankhuwasabha, Solukhumbu, Dolakha, Rasuwa, Gorkha, Manang, Mustang, Dolpa, Mugu, Humla, Bajhang and Darchula have been declared as restricted zones, banning foreigners from visiting these places without permission.
