Harka Sampang laments govt’s silence, questions accountability in Parliament

KATHMANDU: Shrama Sanskriti Party Chair Harka Sampang has expressed frustration over what he called the government’s failure to listen to parliamentary voices.

Speaking in Friday’s House of Representatives meeting, Sampang said that concerns raised by the opposition had gone unheard for over a month, questioning whether the country was being run by people or stones.

“We have been saying the same thing for a month, but neither the Speaker nor the Prime Minister has listened. It feels like this is a country of stones, not people, where no one listens to anyone,” he said.

Sampang also criticized what he described as a lack of responsibility among leaders, arguing that wearing a suit and tie alone does not make someone a decent or accountable person.

He added that true human conduct is defined by responsibility and action, not appearance or position.
