Patient who underwent plasma therapy in Dharan dies

DHARAN: A coronavirus patient, who had undergone plasma therapy at the BP Koirala Institute of Health and Sciences Academy, has died.

The 68-year-old patient from Dharan Sub-metropolis-8 breathed last on Sunday evening.

The patient was admitted to the hospital on August 14 after confirmed with coronavirus on the day before.

The patient had undergone plasma therapy after complaints of breathing difficulty, according to Spokesperson at the BPKIHS, Dr Nidesh Sapkota.

Dr. Sapkota informed that the man referred from the hospital’s help desk had health hazards like cough, fever, and respiratory problems and was also a diabetic patient with high blood pressure.

He was the first person to get treated through plasma therapy at BPKIHS.

With this, three persons have died in Dharan so far, and the number of coronavirus death in Province 1 has reached 15.
