Remdesivir imported to Nepal

KATHMANDU: Medicine Remdesivir that is useful for the treatment of COVID-19 has been brought to Nepal.

A private company imported 528 vials of medicine from India through land and air routes.

The medicine imported from India has been distributed to HAMS Hospital, Shukraraj Tropical and Infectious Diseases Hospital, Norvic Hospital, B&B Hospital and others.

The Department of Drug Administration had allowed the company to import the drugs from Indian company Mylan.
