133 COVID-19 patients receiving treatment in ICU

15 on ventilator support



KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that 133 COVID-19 patients in Nepal are undergoing treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and 15 have been put on ventilator support.

According to the Ministry of Health, 16 persons are undergoing treatment in ICU in Province-1, 46 in Province -2, 52 in Bagmati Province, six in Gandaki Province and 13 in Province -5.

Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health Dr. Jageshwor Gautam also said that there are 15 coronavirus patients, all from Bagmati Province, are on the ventilator.

A total of 12,132COVID-19 patients are in isolation, he said, adding that 8,546patients are in institutional isolation and 3,586 in home isolation.

As many as 1,039 people are institutional isolation in Province 1, 1,893 in Province 2, 3,160 in Bagmati Province, 339 in Gandaki Province, 867 in Province 5, 310 in Karnali Province and 938 in Sudurpaschim Province.

Similarly, there are 268 people in home Isolation in Province 1, 2,897 in Province 2, 111 in Bagmati Province, 27 in Gandaki Province, 242 in Province 5, 18 in Karnali Province and 23 in Sudurpaschim Province.
