KATHMANDU: Minister for Communication and Information Technology Gokul Prasad Baskota, who is also the government’s spokesperson, has said that not even a piece of land belonging to the prime minister’s residence has been sold.
The land which media reported to have been sold belongs to the area that adjoins to the prime minister’s residence, Baskota clarified.
Unveiling the cabinet decisions in Singha Durbar on Thursday, Minister Baskota said the government will not spare anyone if they were found involved in registering Baluwatar land in an individual’s name.
“The government will not let anyone go scot-free regardless of their political affiliation if they were found guilty since this is a legal issue rather than political one,” said Baskota.
Earlier, media had reported that some land of the official residence of the prime minister and chief justice had been registered in the name of an individual.
