92 including Pokhariya mayor contract COVID-19 in Parsa

KATHMANDU: As many as 92 people including a mayor have tested positive for coronavirus in Parsa district.

The newly infected are 38 people including the mayor of Pokhariya municipality Dipnarayan Prasad Rauniyar from Birgunj Metropolitan City, 33 from Pokhariya, 15 from Jagarnathpur and six from Sakhuwaprasauni.

According to the PCR test reports unveiled on Sunday night, eight family members including Mayor Rauniyar, and 33 people including six medical staffers of Pokhariya Hospital have been diagnosed with the coronavirus, said Narayani Hospital.
