BIRGUNJ: Bara district has witnessed 65 coronavirus cases on Sunday establishing itself as one of the coronavirus pandemic hotspots of the country.

According to Rudra Prasad Pundit, the Chief District Officer of Bara, 65 people of 4 different local levels have tested COVID-19 positive.

He informed that Jitpur Simara Sub-Metropolitan City has got 36 cases — the highest among the 4 local levels.

Likewise, Mahagadhi Mai Municipality witnessed 17 and Kareiyamai Rural Municipality witnessed 10 cases on Sunday.

Kalaiya Sub-Metropolitan City, meanwhile, reported 2 new cases of COVID-19 today.
