Home Minister Thapa accuses “neighbor” for creating border problems

KATHMANDU: Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa today said some neighboring countries have been creating border problems with Nepal.

Without mentioning the name of the country, Home Minister Thapa said the ‘neighbor’ has adopted an encroaching policy.

Speaking at a meeting of the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee of the House of Representatives today, Home Minister Thapa said sometimes while the ‘neighbors’ are engaged in removing the border pillars, they are also found to have changed the locations of the marks.

He said that some rivers also work as borderline between Nepal and India, and border issues come out when the rivers change their course.
