Dahal’s Khumaltar-based residence sealed after security guards diagnosed with COVID-19

KATHMANDU: Nepal Communist Party Executive Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s residence has been sealed.

Dahal’s residence based at Khumaltar has been sealed after the security personnel deployed for the security of the residence tested positive for coronavirus.

Currently, Dahal, his family members and his secretariat staffers have been kept in isolation.

“The people’s movement at and around Khumaltar has been restricted. Visits and meetings will not take place for some days,” said Dahal’s Press Coordinator Bishnu Prasad Sapkota.

Security personnel deployed for Dahal’s residential security on the outer cover had tested positive for coronavirus on August 7.

However, Dahal, his family members and the secretariat staffers tested negative for coronavirus. They will remain in isolation until the next PCR test reports come out.

“The movement at Dahal’s residence has been restricted to minimize the risk of coronavirus,” said Sapkota.
