‘Enough is Enough’ campaigners arrested from Naxal

KATHMANDU: Police have arrested 20 ‘Enough is Enough’ campaigners protesting peacefully in front of the Naxal-based Bhatbhateni Supermarket on Saturday.

One of the campaigners said that they were arrested on the way to participate in the peaceful demonstration without pamphlets and placards.

They have been kept at Metropolitan Police Circle, Maligaun.

The campaigners have been protesting against the government’s corruption, negligence and recklessness towards the threats posed by the wide-spreading coronavirus pandemic.

Police had arrested the campaigners from Baluwatar on Friday while they were heading to stage a sit-in outside the Prime Minister’s residence. They were later released in the evening.
