Gandaki Province Assembly passes Appropriation Bill



POKHARA: The Gandaki Province Assembly has passed the Appropriation Bill for the fiscal year 2026/27 by a majority vote.

The bill, presented by Minister for Economic Affairs Jit Bahadur Sherchan, was endorsed during the Provincial Assembly meeting on Sunday following deliberations on budget allocations for various ministries.

On June 15, Minister Sherchan had unveiled a budget of Rs 32.99 billion for the upcoming fiscal year.

Addressing the Assembly, Chief Minister Surendra Raj Pandey said the government had prepared a realistic and implementable budget, assuring lawmakers that adequate resources had been secured for its execution.

“We have ensured the availability of resources, and there will be no shortage of funds for implementing the budget,” Chief Minister Pandey said.
