PM Oli meets Bamdev Gautam in Bhaisepati

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister and Chairman of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) KP Oli met the party’s Vice-Chairman Bamdev Gautam at the latter’s residence in Bhaisepati on Tuesday evening.

Prime Minister Oli reached Bhaisepati at around 7.30 pm and left at around 9 pm. The Prime Minister was accompanied by General Secretary Bishnu Poudel.

Before meeting Gautam, PM Oli reached Sheetal Niwas, the President’s Office, and consulted with President Bidya Devi Bhandari.

Earlier today, Vice-Chairman Gautam had put forward a six-point proposal in order to thrash out differences seen especially between Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal-Madhav Nepal and Oli camps.

According to the proposal, Oli will take charge as the chairman of the party until the upcoming general convention and as the prime minister until the remaining term of the current House of Representatives.

Similarly, Pushpa Kamal Dahal will take charge as the executive chairman of the party until the coming general convention while the general convention will be held on a consensus basis, reads the proposal.

The other points include allowing the prime minister to carry out day to day affairs without interventions, except those issues of national and international importance.
