Man succumbs to coronavirus in Bajhang, Nepal’s death toll reaches 49



BAJHANG: A 65-year-old man has succumbed to coronavirus in Bajhang district.

According to Health Office, Bajhang, coronavirus was confirmed on Monday on the man hailing from Bungal Municipality-3 who died last Friday.

Coronavirus Focal Person at the District Health Office Narayan Joshi said the deceased had from returned Bangalore, India on July 8 and went to his house on July 21 after spending 14-day at a quarantine center.

COVID-19 test was not performed on him as he had normal health condition during his stay at the quarantine center.

His swab sample was collected after the death and tested at Dadeldhura Hospital, he said.

With the death, Nepal’s death toll from coronavirus has reached 49, the Ministry of Health of Population confirmed.
