11 RPP leaders including Sunil Thapa joining NC today



KATHMANDU: As many as 11 individuals including former Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) leader Sunil Thapa are joining Nepali Congress (NC) on Tuesday.

NC is welcoming them amidst a ceremony to be organized at the central party office, Sanepa at 3 pm today.

According to sources, Thapa will be inducted as Deputy General Secretary in the NC while five others will appointed as central committee members.

Eleven central committee members including Thapa have quit RPP recently.

Meanwhile, some NC leaders have criticized the party’s preparations to induct Thapa immediately after expelling leaders Govinda Raj Joshi, Pushkar Nath Ojha and Ram Bahadur Bista.
