18 cops including SP test COVID-19 positive in Syangja



SYANGJA: A total of 18 police personnel including a Superintendent of Police (SP) deployed at District Police Office, Syangja have contracted coronavirus.

According to the Gandaki Province Department of Health Services, tests carried out at Tuberculosis Treatment Center in Pokhara confirmed the infection.

The police office has been sealed off after the cases were confirmed.

Three cops at the police office had tested positive some six days ago.

Syangja Police Chief SP Bimal Raj Kanel said that 18 other police personnel who were in direct contact with them were found infected today.
