SC members of Dahal-Nepal camp meet at Khumaltar

KATHMANDU:  Standing Committee (SC) members of Dahal-Nepal camp are holding a meeting at ruling Nepal Communist Party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s residence in Khumaltar on Monday morning.

According to a leader privy to the meeting SC members have gathered at Khumaltar to form a strategy for the Standing Committee meeting scheduled for Tuesday.

Dahal-Nepal camp has long been piling pressure on Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to give up one his posts.

On the contrary, Oli has been adamant not to resign from any of his posts.

Instead, Oli has suggested going for general convention to elect a new chairman of the party.

The SC meeting has been delayed time and again after the heavyweights could not strike consensus.

The intra-party feud in the ruling NCP has deepened further with both Oli and Dahal refusing to budge an inch from their respective stance.
