Nepal witnesses rise in COVID-19 recovery rate



KATHMANDU: Nepal has witnessed a gradual rise in the recovery rate of COVID-19 lately.

A total of 70.6 percent of infected people have returned home after complete health recovery of late.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population data, among total infected 18,183 people, 13,053 have defeated coronavirus and returned home after getting complete recovery.

As the data reveals, six districts of the country are COVID-19 free. Panchthar, Bhojpur, Sankhuwasabha, Rasuwa, Manang and Mustang districts have witnessed no single COVID-19 infected case as of today.

The Ministry has shared a total of 109 new cases were reported in the past 24 hours as 4,075 people were tested for COVID-19 in different 27 laborites in the country.

According to the Ministry, a total of 5,385 infected persons are undergoing treatment at different isolation centers and hospitals in the country.

Meanwhile, a 17-year-old girl of Parwanipur Rural Municipality-8 died of COVID-19 infection today.

The girl was undergoing treatment at Birgunju-based Gandaki hospital for a few days. With this, a total of the death toll from COVID-19 has reached 45 in the country till today.
