Minister Bhattarai Indirectly disagrees with PM’s Ayodhya statement

KATHMANDU: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Bhattarai has indirectly disagreed with the Prime Minister’s controversial statement given on the occasion of Bhanu Jayanti.

Speaking at a meeting of the International Relations Committee of Parliament on Thursday, Minister Bhattarai said we should be cautious while giving views on religious, cultural, and linguistic issues in the present context, referring to the Prime Minister’s  recent statement on Ayodhya.

Speaking on the occasion of Bhanu Jayanti, Prime Minister KP Oli had said Ayodhya lies in Nepal and Ram is Nepali.

The controversial statement had drawn flaks not only in India but also in Nepal.
