No active cases in seven districts, over 500 cases in three



KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that seven districts of Nepal have no active cases of coronavirus till Monday afternoon.

According to the ministry, all the COVID-19 infected in Bhojpur, Panchthar, Dhankuta, Sankhuwasabha, Rasuwa, Manang and Mustang have recovered and returned home.

Although eight districts had no active cases till Sunday, one person in Humla has been confirmed to be infected with coronavirus in the past 24 hours.

According to the ministry, a test conducted at Surkhet Provincial Hospital has confirmed coronavirus in one person of Humla.

Spokespersons at the ministry Dr. Jageshwor Gautam said that Rautahat, Kailali and Bajura have more than 500 active cases each.

Nepal reported 186 new cases in the past 24 hours that took the tally to 17,844.
