Pyuthan tractor accident: Identities of all dead ascertained



PYUTHAN: All seven people who died in the tractor accident that occurred at Swargadwari Municipality-3 in Pyuthan last night have been identified.

The District Police Office (DPO) Pyuthan confirmed the deaths of Sagar Basnet, 21; Rim Bahadur Basnet,24 ; Birendra Bathamagar, 19; Thaman Bathamagar,19; Kabiram Basnet, 25 and Gobardhan Budhamagar of Baija of Runtigadhi Rural Municipality-5, Rolpa,.

According to DPO’s information officer Inspector of Police Bishnu Prasad Poudel, driver Kamal Kunwar, 25 of Tribeni Rural Municipality, Rolpa was also killed in the accident.

The tractor (Lu. 2 Cha. 4234) met with the accident as it was heading towards Bhingi from Dharamani of Swargadwari after carrying observers of the Saune Sankranti festival.

Among eight on board the tractor, one managed to save the life by jumping off the vehicle that fell some 500 meters down the road. Until the filing of this report, preparations were on to hand the bodies to the families.
