Income tax filing, payment made online



KATHMANDU: Now, small taxpayers can submit their income details and taxes electronically through mobile apps according to a circular issued by Nepal Rastra Bank to various banks on Wednesday.

It was announced in the fiscal budget that the agreements for small taxpayers doing transitions up to Rs 2 million will be made to submit their income statement and tax through electronic means including mobile apps.

In line with the same policy, it was agreed to implement it from the new fiscal year a few days ago in a meeting between representatives of the Office of the Comptroller General, officials of the Inland Revenue Department and representatives of the Central Bank.
