Kathmandu Valley reports 23 more coronavirus case on Wednesday



KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Valley has reported 23 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.

According to Dr Jageshwor Gautam, Spokesperson at the Ministry, six persons of Kathmandu tested positive in the last 24 hours.

Likewise, 10 swabs collected from Kathmandu and 7 swabs from Lalitpur tested positive in the test carried out at the Patan Hospital Laboratory.

Despite the lockdown enforced since March 24, the Valley is noticing remarkable number of coronavirus cases lately.

Meanwhile, as many as 255 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in the past 24 hours across the country.

With this, the total number of positive cases has reached 16,423.

A total of 7,752 people have been discharged across the country after recovery.
