64 held for not wearing face mask



LAHAN: Police here have arrested 64 persons for not wearing face mask. They were walking carefree though the government had strictly ruled everyone to compulsorily wear masks while walking outside home.

The circular was made in the wake of the growing coronavirus cases across the country.

Spokesperson at District Police Office, Siraha, Binod Ghimire said 64 people were arrested for violating the rule of wearing mask while walking in public place and while riding vehicle.

Now, they have been initiated action as per Infectious Disease Control Act, 2020. For the action, the arrested ones were sent to the District Administration Office. The police again requested everyone to abide by the rule.
Blood donation to address shortage.

Meanwhile, 26 youths have donated blood to ensure the availability of blood to the needy patients. The donation programme was organized by Municipal Youth Network of Sukhipur. It was coordinated by Nepal Red Cross Society Blood Transfusion Centre Lahan.

Network Chairman Sunil Kumar Yadav informed that the blood donation programme was organized in the wake of blood shortage in the COVID-19 lockdown.
