Gang involved in gold, silver robbery arrested in Kathmandu



KATHMANDU: A gang involved in the robbery of gold and silver by breaking gold and silver shops has been arrested in Kathmandu.

Alleged Ganga Bahadur Tamang and Buddha Bahadur Majhi alias Sumit have been arrested from Morang, Urlabari and brought to Kathmandu.

Similarly, Jang Bahadur Majhi alias Bikram has been arrested from Durbar Marg in the capital.

Police said that they used to break the shops at night by making paper/bottle pickers.

They stole gold weighing 150 grams, silver worth 8 kg 560 grams and cash worth Rs 8,585,642 from a shop run by Dilip Kumar Shrestha in Lazimpat, Kathmandu, according to police crime branch.
