Octogenarian woman recovers from COVID-19



SIRAHA: An 81-year-old infected woman in Siraha has returned home reocvering from the COVID-19 infection.

Kagati Devi Mandal of Sanhaitha in Siraha Municipality-19 returned home after getting recovered giving a surprising pleasure to her family.

Mandal was staying in isolation at Chandra Secondary School in the district after she was tested positive for the virus.

She was contracted with the virus from her family members, hospital sources said.

Earlier, she had stayed at a quarantine facility at Siraha Campus for two weeks.

She was sent home after her coronavirus reports were negative, according to Arvind Mandal, the isolation ward in-charge.

Her swabs were tested twice. Sixty three others in the district were discharged from isolation after being cured, said the District Health Office.

Of them, 49 had stayed at the school and 14 at Mahendra Genai Maternity Hospital. Currently, 49 infected people are receiving treatment, said the Office.
