Bajhang landslide: Six dead bodies retrieved so far



BAJHANG: Dead bodies of six people buried under a landslide in Mallesi village of Kedarsyum Rural Municipality have been retrieved as of Saturday evening.

One person is still missing and a search to find him is underway, Ward Chairman Ganesh Bohara said.

According to Ward Chairman Bohara, the dead bodies of 43-year-old Ramti Devi Jethara, 16-year-old Shanti Kumari Jethara, 13-year-old boy Prayag Jethara and Ashmita Jethara, 7, of same family have been found.

The bodies of 15-year-old Santu Jethara and 81-year-old Dale Jethara were also retrieved. Giri Jethara, 20, is still missing, said Ward Chairman Bohara.

The landslide occurred at 2 am today, according to Lekh Raj Rawal, the Spokesperson for Kedarsyun Rural Municipality.

A total of 28 family members were staying in 17 households, according to Rawal.
