Three die, four missing in Bajhang landslide



BAJHANG: Three people have been killed and four others are missing in a landslide at Mallesi village of Kedarsyun Rural Municipality-8 of the district on Saturday.

The dead bodies of 11-year-old Sunta Jethara, seven-year-old Asmita Jethara and 11-year-old Prayagraj Jethara have been retrieved while a search for others is underway, according to District Police Office, Bajhang.

Whereabouts of Dale Jethara, 80, Jirja Jethara, 20, Ramdevi Jethara, 44, and Shanta Jethara, 7, is still unknown.

The landslide occurred at 2 am today, according to Lekh Raj Rawal, the Spokesperson for Kedarsyun Rural Municipality.

A total of 28 family members were staying in 17 households, according to Rawal.
