Dadeldhura gets PCR machine worth Rs 9.6 mln

KAILALI: A polymerase chain reactin (PCR) machine which was installed in Dadeldhura through a fund-raising has come into operation.

The machine was brought into operation in a joint collaboration of Humanity Foundation Nepal and Sudurpashchim Samaj America.

Currently, the examination is underway about its functional reliability, said Ramesh Shahi, in-charge of laboratory of Dhagadhi-based Seti Provincial Hospital.

The swab samples tested at the lab of Seti Provincial Hospital will be tested via this PRC machine to examine its quality and capacity, added Shahi.

The installation of the PCR machine will provide a great relief to the people of seven hilly districts of Sudurpashchim Pradesh, chairman of Humanity Foundation.

Established at the cost of Rs 9.6 million, this PCR machine will test swab samples of 96 people in a shift and 384 samples in a day.
