Collective efforts needed to combat COVID-19: CM Gurung



POKHARA: Chief Minister of Gandaki State Prithvi Subba Gurung has emphasized the need for collective efforts to fight coronavirus pandemic.

He urged people in mass to be aware of the pandemic and try to do their best to prevent and control the infection.

He said this while distributing health appliances organized by Rotary Club of Pokhara.

Meanwhile, President of Rotary Club in Pokhara, Gopal Dhoju handed medical appliances including 10,000 facemasks and 2,500 face shields among others provided by the Rotary International to CM Gurung.

Likewise, Kiran Lal Shrestha, Governor of the Rotary International District 3292 Nepal-Bhutan, informed that the Rotary has donated medical instruments and relief materials worth Rs 170 million to Nepal so far.

Efforts were on to provide two PCR machines to the State in two weeks, he said.

The event was participated by office bearers of the Rotary Club, Pokhara.
