KATHMANDU: Twenty-five among those killed in cyclone-hit disaster in Bara and Parsa districts have been identified.

According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, the deceased are as follows:

5. Nanda Patel

6. Rubi Khatun

7. Gandhima Devi

8. Hit Lal Sahani

9. Bibima Khatun

10. Mustakima Khatun

13. Ram Majhi

14. Surajha Majhi

15. Rakesh Mukhiya

16. Abadhesa Paswan

17. Radhe Lodhi

18. Tarifa Khatun

19. Alisha Khatun

20. Sakiya Khatun

22. Koiri Devi

23. Shi Prasad Yadav

However, the local administration said that 32 have been killed. Four among those killed are Indian nationals.

The unprecedented violent storm struck Bara and Parsa districts yesterday evening, leaving 32 people dead and over 500 injured. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has left for the incident site to take stock of the storm-induced mayhem and expressed deep sorrow over the victims.

An emergency cabinet meeting of the Province 2 held this morning decided to provide Rs 300,000 in relief to each family of the deceased and formed a five-member high level relief and rescue committee led by Minister for Internal Affairs and Law Gyanendra Sah in response to the calamity.

Chief Minister Lal Babu Raut inspected the disaster-hit sites and expressed deep sorrow over the deaths and property damages.
