NC leader Dr. Koirala for dialogue with India

BIRATNAGAR: Nepali Congress (NC) central member Dr. Shekhar Koirala has insisted on the need for a dialogue with India to return Nepali territory.

At a program organized at Biratnagar today to mark the 11th commemoration of party leader Shailaja Acharya, he stressed that the government should resolve the issue and bring back Nepal’s territory (Lipulekh, Kalapani and Limpiyadhura) through the medium of dialogue.

He urged the government to emphatically adopt the means of dialogue rather than internationalize it or take the issue to the international court in a bid to bring back the land.

On another note, Koirala demanded government seriousness in the prevention and control of the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic and recommended to widen the scope of the PCR test.

Also speaking at the program organized by Krishna Prasad Koirala Service Trust, its chair Meeta Acharya, treasurer Mohan Lal Mahato and journalist Ananta Raj Neupane highlighted the contributions of the late Acharya for the economic uplift of marginalized people and establishment of democracy in the country.

Fruits were distributed to the patients receiving treatment at the Koshi Hospital on the occasion.
