Finance Minister Khatiwada presents fiscal budget (Live)



KATHMANDU: Minister for Finance Yuvaraj Khatiwada is presenting its revenue and expenditure estimates (budget) for the fiscal year 2020/21 at the joint meeting of both the houses of the Federal Parliament on Thursday.

The Constitution of Nepal (2015) provides that the budget of the government be presented by Jestha 15 of the lunar calendar every year.

It is expected that the budget will come up with plans to revive the economy that has been hit hard by coronavirus pandemic.

According to the economic survey, the economic growth in the current fiscal year will remain at 2.3 percent. The government had predicted 8.5 percent economic growth for this fiscal year.
