KATHMANDU: Two matches are scheduled for Saturday under the Nepal Premier League (NPL). However, continuous rainfall since Thursday night has made the possibility of both matches taking place uncertain.
Lumbini Lions and Chitwan Rhinos are scheduled to face each other in the first match, which is set to begin at 12:30 pm. In the second match, Sudurpaschim Royals will take on Biratnagar Kings at 5 pm.
However, persistent rain has cast doubt over both fixtures. If the matches cannot be held due to rain, the respective teams will share the points.
Lumbini Lions and Chitwan Rhinos have both started their campaigns with victories. Lumbini defeated Sudurpaschim Royals by seven wickets in their opening match, while Chitwan beat Biratnagar Kings by eight runs.
Sudurpaschim Royals, who have won one match and lost one, will be looking for their second victory. After losing to Lumbini in their opening match, Sudurpaschim bounced back with a six-wicket win over Pokhara Avengers.
Meanwhile, Biratnagar Kings are searching for their first victory after suffering two consecutive defeats. They lost their opening match to Chitwan by eight runs before going down to Karnali Yaks by four wickets in their second match.
