RASUWA: Home Minister Sudan Gurung is heading to the Upper Trishuli-3 ‘A’ hydropower project site, where 42 people remain unaccounted for.
Gurung is traveling to the site with equipment needed to break through the barrier blocking the tunnel entrance. He is also taking a breaker to assist in the rescue operation.
An Indian rescue team is accompanying the Home Minister to the incident site. According to information from the site, the rescue team has reached the crown section of the main access tunnel.
Rescuers have been attempting to break through the barrier and enter the tunnel from there, but it has not yet been completely cleared.
Additional equipment and technical assistance are needed to remove the barrier and open an access route to reach the people trapped inside the tunnel.
To support the rescue efforts, Home Minister Gurung is heading to the site with the Indian rescue team and necessary equipment.
Rescuers are facing difficulties entering the tunnel. Despite blasting efforts, the barrier has not yet been removed.
